Why we do this

Build your program. Make your budget go further.

We know many schools are working with shrinking budgets. Our goal is to make a lasting impact by helping music programs get the instruments they need while preserving school funds for instruction, sheet music, travel, and the other experiences that help students grow.

Programs have used Virtual Booster Club to help build their bands from the ground up, even when they started with zero budget for instruments. Rental participation becomes equipment that stays with the program and serves students year after year.

A simple way to support your program

One link. Your whole community.

Families need instruments. Your program needs equipment. Virtual Booster Club connects those needs through the rentals people are already making.

Your link can be shared with students, parents, alumni, relatives, friends, and community supporters. Renters do not have to attend your school for your program to receive the credit.

The link makes the connection. Families should begin their rental through your program’s personalized RentMyInstrument page so it is associated with your VBC account.

  1. Enroll your program.

Join at no cost and work with the VBC team to set up a personalized rental page with the instruments you want featured.

  2. Share your rental link.

Include it in beginning-band information, family emails, your school website, and community outreach.

  3. Let rentals build your credits.

Each dollar of monthly rent through your link earns a dollar in program credit. Participation and credits are tracked in your VBC portal.

  4. Redeem for new instruments.

Choose B.A.C. and 825 instruments, then submit your order through the portal during a redemption period.

Questions directors ask

How participation and redemption work

Who can enroll, and does it cost anything?

Band directors and school or district administrators can enroll their programs. Enrollment is free, with no minimum commitment. Parents do not need to enroll in VBC; they rent through the program’s personalized link.

Does the renter have to be a student at our school?

No. You can share your link with anyone who needs an instrument, including alumni, friends, relatives, and community supporters. Rentals made through your program’s link can help your program earn credits.

How are credits calculated and tracked?

Every $1 of monthly rent through your program’s link earns $1 in VBC credit. Your portal tracks rental participation and program credits automatically, and gives you access to redemption order forms.

When can we redeem, and do credits expire?

Credits accrue monthly during the August 1–July 31 program year. Redemption periods are December–January and May–July. Credits expire on July 31 each year and do not carry over, so plan your redemption before the program year ends.

What can our credits be used for?

Credits can be redeemed for new B.A.C. and 825 instruments, as well as approved repairs and service. Work with the VBC team to confirm eligible items and plan an order around your program’s needs.

Can multiple schools participate together?

Yes. VBC can provide separate links for individual schools or combine participation under one program. Tell the team how your district is organized so they can help set up the right approach.

How do we start a redemption?

Review your credits and submit an order form through your VBC portal during a redemption period. The team will help process your request and discuss instrument availability and fulfillment.

Where can families learn about rentals?

Share your personalized RentMyInstrument page for current instruments and rental details. If you have not enrolled yet, visit the VBC website or contact the team below to get started.
