The B.A.C. Pro III is an authentic BAC professional trumpet influenced by the rich tradition of American jazz trumpet design, emphasizing warmth, color, and expressive flexibility. It delivers a dark, rich, and smoky voice, with a warm core and natural fluidity across the entire range. Inspired by the classic design concept of the Martin trumpets of the mid-20th century, the Pro III preserves the tonal depth and fluid response of that heritage, even with a subtly refined bore.
It plays effortlessly, with a vocal-like quality that encourages nuance, shaping, and dynamic expression in every register. The Pro III immerses the player in a more intimate sound world, smoothly transitioning from soft, atmospheric textures to focused, centered projection. It is especially well-suited for jazz combo, solo performance, and any setting where warmth, character, and expressive freedom are essential.

Features
Meinlschmidt Valve Section
Built on a .464" front-facing Meinlschmidt valve block, precision-engineered in Germany for optimized port geometry, consistent pitch stability across all dynamic levels, and fast, reliable action. Hand-finished pistons and plastic valve guides keep the action smooth and quiet.
Bell Design
A 5" bell inspired by the classic Martin trumpet designs of the mid-20th century. The copper's natural density produces a wide, dense tonal core, warm and dark at soft dynamics, capable of centered, powerful projection when pushed. The yellow brass adds a bit more focus and core. A standard round brass-wired bead stabilizes the rim and keeps the response even and focused across all registers.
Tapered Dual Radius Main Tuning Slide
Crafted from yellow brass, the dual radius design uses two smoothly curved radii to minimize airflow turbulence and deliver a response that feels open and immediate.
Reverse Leadpipe
Crafted from yellow brass and inspired by the characteristic leadpipe configuration of the classic mid-century Martin designs, the reverse layout routes the air column in a way that contributes directly to the horn's signature resistance feel and its dark, centered core tone.
Hardware and Small Components
Vintage Martin-Inspired Z-Bracing
The Pro III uses Z-bracing inspired by the classic mid-century Martin trumpet designs, hand-fit to connect the mouthpiece receiver to the bell bow and the leadpipe to the bell stem. This light brace configuration is faithful to the original design intent, a placement that directly contributes to the horn's free, singing resonance.
Optional Ergonomic Configurations
Finger Rings, Finger Hooks, and Saddles
Optional ergonomic configurations, including finger rings, finger hooks, and saddles, tailored to each player’s comfort and performance preferences.
Playing Characteristics
Inspired by the classic Martin trumpet designs of the mid-20th century that defined the sound of jazz's golden age, the Pro III delivers a dark, rich, and smoky tone with excellent intonation and flexibility. The copper bell's warm, dense core and the reverse leadpipe's characteristic feel combine to produce an instrument that is equally at home in jazz combo, solo performance, and studio work, wherever tonal depth and expressiveness lead.
