The B.A.C. Pro I is a professional-level trumpet designed as a balanced, all-around instrument with a larger core that produces a rich, centered sound. It feels open and even throughout all registers, offering a smooth response with excellent stability and consistent intonation.
The instrument is highly flexible and shapeable, allowing the player to easily control color and direction without resistance getting in the way. Backpressure is well-balanced and supportive, providing a natural, unforced feel that adapts to the player rather than defining the sound.
From smoky, soft playing to brilliant, powerful projection, it delivers a wide tonal spectrum with distinct colors across the full dynamic range. It is a versatile trumpet well-suited for solo and ensemble performance across both classical and non-classical styles.

Features
Meinlschmidt Valve Section
The Pro I is built on a .464" front-facing Meinlschmidt valve block - a German-engineered precision valve cluster known for optimized port geometry, consistent pitch stability from pianissimo to fortissimo, and fast, reliable action. Hand-finished pistons and plastic valve guides complete the section, keeping the action quiet and smooth in any performance setting.
Bell Design
A 5" 0.020-gauge yellow brass D1 bell, hand-hammered for a bright, rich, and focused tone with strong projection and consistent response across all registers. A standard round brass-wired bead finishes the rim - adding mass that stabilizes the bell's vibration and keeps the overtone response balanced and controlled, from soft lyrical passages to full orchestral projection.
Main Tuning Slide
Crafted from yellow brass, the dual radius design uses two smoothly curved radii to minimize airflow turbulence and deliver a response that feels open and immediate. A single loop brace provides structural stability while allowing the instrument to vibrate freely.
BAC B25 Leadpipe
Crafted from yellow brass, the B25's .348" Venturi pairs with the .460" bore tubing to deliver medium resistance - grounded enough to feel controlled, open enough to play with full dynamic range and reliable intonation across the entire horn.
Hardware and Small Components
Yellow Brass Z-Braces
Hand-fit yellow brass cast Z-braces connect the mouthpiece receiver to the bell bow and the leadpipe to the bell stem, keeping the instrument's resonance free and open while honoring the construction traditions of the great American trumpet makers.
Weighted Stop Screws
Precision-sized stop screws on the 1st and 3rd slides control slide travel safely while contributing to enhanced overtones and richer harmonic resonance. Fine tune the response of the horn by tightening or loosening the screws.
Optional Ergonomic Configurations
Finger Rings, Finger Hooks, and Saddles
Optional ergonomic configurations, including finger rings, finger hooks, and saddles, tailored to each player’s comfort and performance preferences.
