Plaza G2 Trumpet
The BAC Gen 2 Plaza delivers a centered, responsive tone built for players who demand precision without sacrificing versatility. Its balanced playability and rich harmonic character make it an ideal choice for classical solos, studio recording, commercial, and ensemble settings where control and clarity lead.
Built around a hand-hammered one-piece 5" yellow brass bell, the bell taper design produces a centered, rich core tone with clear overtones that carry well in both intimate and large settings. The brass-wired bead keeps the sound focused and controlled across all registers.
The BAC B25 yellow brass leadpipe focuses tone production and gives reliable intonation across the full range of the horn. Its .348" Venturi pairs with the .460" medium-large bore to deliver a controlled, responsive feel with the medium resistance that gives serious players a confident, grounded connection to the instrument.
A yellow brass valve block and hand-finished pistons make the valve action smooth and fast. Plastic valve guides keep the action quiet. Brass has a lower specific gravity than nickel silver, resulting in a brighter tone and freer playing feel. The Dual Radius yellow brass main tuning slide and carefully weighted signature loop brace maintain structural integrity while allowing the instrument to vibrate freely. Three ergonomically positioned rings complete the "In The Loop" hardware configuration for confident slide control and immediate tuning access.
Built by hand in Kansas City, Missouri. Includes a Protec Pro Pac Contoured Case.
Available Finish Options:
Gold Lacquer Finish: Warm, visually striking tone with slightly richer overtones and added tonal depth.
Silver-Plated Finish: Brighter, more projecting tone with enhanced harmonic clarity and improved upper-register brilliance.

The G2 features a new valve block. Both the upper and lower sections of the valve casing are made of brass, including the top and bottom caps. The valves are a .460” medium-large bore
Brass has a lower specific gravity than nickel silver, a full yellow brass valve casing results in a brilliant tone and freer playing feel.
Bell Design
The Plaza features a one-piece 5” yellow brass bell. The bell is hand-hammered and annealed. The design produces a centered, rich core tone with clear overtones and excellent projection.
Bead Design
A standard round brass-wired bead finishes the bell rim, adding mass that stabilizes the bell's vibration, centers the tone, and produces balanced, controlled overtones that classical and studio players depend on.
Leadpipe
Crafted from yellow brass, the B25's .348" Venturi pairs with the .460" medium-large bore valve block to deliver medium resistance. This leadpipe design offers an immediate response, evenness of tone throughout all registers, and superior intonation.
Hardware and Small Components
Leadpipe Pinky Hook
Traditional hook anchors the right hand and supports the instrument's weight for a natural, grounded playing position.
Brass Z-Braces
Hand-fit brass Z-braces connect the mouthpiece receiver to the bell bow and the leadpipe to the bell stem, keeping the instrument's resonance free and open while honoring a tradition of American handcraft.
