About the Plaza

Handcrafted in Kansas City as part of BAC’s Handcraft Series, the Plaza is a medium-large bore Bb trumpet designed as a true all-around professional instrument. Crafted in the spirit of classic mid-century American designs, the Plaza emphasizes balance, consistency, and versatility across a wide range of musical settings.

The Plaza is a medium-large bore trumpet that many players describe as comfortable and familiar, offering a natural feel that supports a centered sound and quick, immediate response. The resistance profile is even and predictable, allowing the horn to respond easily to the player while maintaining clean slotting and stable intonation throughout all registers.

A one-piece, hand-hammered yellow brass bell produces a sound that blends easily in ensemble playing while still providing clarity and projection when needed. The BAC B25 leadpipe and .345” venturi contribute to fast response, clear articulation, and stable intonation throughout all registers, supporting both sustained lyrical playing and more articulated passages.

Offered in multiple finishes and detailed with hand engraving, each Plaza Handcraft Series trumpet reflects the hands-on craftsmanship and attention to detail of BAC’s Kansas City workshop.
