Paseo Z72 G2 Trumpet
The BAC Gen 2 Paseo Z72 is the most versatile instrument in the BAC Handcraft Series. Its tonal palette shifts effortlessly from warm and dark to bright and edgy, making it an ideal choice for classical, jazz, studio, commercial, and small ensemble settings. The Paseo Z72 delivers a large, resonant tonal core with rich, complex overtones that respond immediately to the player's intent.
Built around a hand-hammered one-piece 5" yellow brass bell with hand-engraving, the 72 bell taper produces an open, centered core tone with the harmonic complexity that versatile players demand. The brass-wired bead keeps the sound focused and controlled across all registers.
The B.A.C. CLB yellow brass leadpipe centers tone production and gives reliable intonation across the full range of the horn. Its .346" Venturi pairs with the .460" medium-large bore to deliver a balanced, medium resistance that keeps the player in control without sacrificing response or tonal color.
A yellow brass valve block and hand-finished pistons make the valve action smooth and fast. Plastic valve guides keep the action quiet. Brass has a lower specific gravity than nickel silver, resulting in a brighter tone and freer playing feel. The Dual Radius yellow brass main tuning slide and signature loop brace maintain structural integrity while allowing the instrument to vibrate freely. Three ergonomically positioned rings complete the "In The Loop" hardware configuration for confident slide control and immediate tuning access.
Built by hand in Kansas City, Missouri. Includes a Protec Pro Pac Contoured Case

Features
Valve Casing
The G2 features a new valve block. Both the upper and lower sections of the valve casing are made of brass, including the top and bottom caps. The valves are a .460” medium-large bore
Brass has a lower specific gravity than nickel silver, a full yellow brass valve casing results in a brilliant tone and freer playing feel.
Bell Design
The Z72 features a one-piece 5” yellow brass bell that is 0.020” thick. The bell is hand-hammered and annealed. The bell design provides a diverse harmonic palette making it a great all-around trumpet.
Bead Design
A standard round brass-wired bead finishes the bell rim, the added mass stabilizes the bell's vibration and keeps the overtone response balanced and even across registers, so the player's input determines the color.
Leadpipe
Crafted from yellow brass, the CLB's .346" Venturi pairs with the .460" medium-large bore to create a medium resistance that supports long lyrical lines, flexible jazz phrasing, and strong commercial projection — without locking down tonal color or response.
