Paseo G2 Trumpet
The BAC Gen 2 Paseo is the most free-blowing instrument in the BAC Handcraft Series. The Paseo delivers a wide, dense tonal core: warm and dark at soft dynamics, capable of brilliant projection when the player demands it. The natural, effortless airflow and precise articulation, combined with its available tonal color palette make it an ideal choice for jazz, commercial, and solo settings.
Built around a seamless one-piece 5" electroformed copper bell, the brass-wired bead keeps the sound focused and centered across all registers.
The B.A.C. 1890 yellow brass leadpipe focuses tone production and gives reliable intonation across the full range of the horn. Its .343" Venturi pairs with the .460" medium-large bore to keep the airflow natural with a fast response.
A yellow brass valve block and hand-finished pistons make the valve action smooth and fast. Plastic valve guides keep the action quiet. Brass has a lower specific gravity than nickel silver, resulting in a brighter tone and freer playing feel.
The Dual Radius yellow brass main tuning slide and signature loop brace maintain structural integrity while allowing the instrument to vibrate freely. Three ergonomically positioned rings complete the "In The Loop" hardware configuration for confident slide control and immediate tuning access.
Built by hand in Kansas City, Missouri. Includes a Protec Pro Pac Contoured Case
Available Finish Options:
Combo Finish: Satin Bell / Bright Polished Body with Clear Baked-On Epoxy Lacquer. Warm, focused tone with slightly softened overtones and rich tonal depth.

Blackened Inner Bell Option: Available with either finish. A signature BAC visual distinction that adds visual depth and character.
Features
Valve Casing
The G2 features a new valve block. Both the upper and lower sections of the valve casing are made of brass, including the top and bottom caps. The valves are a .460” medium-large bore
Brass has a lower specific gravity than nickel silver, a full yellow brass valve casing results in a brilliant tone and freer playing feel.
Bell Design
5" seamless one-piece copper bell, electroformed and then drawn and spun to the Paseo mandrel for optimal taper, wall thickness, and response. Copper's natural density gives the Paseo a wide, dense tonal core that sits warm and dark at soft dynamics and opens into brilliant projection when the player pushes.
Bead Design
A standard round brass-wired bead finishes the rim, adding mass that stabilizes the bell's vibration and keeps the overtone response balanced and even across all registers.
Leadpipe
Crafted from yellow brass and named for Vincent Bach's birth year, the 1890 leadpipe's .343" Venturi pairs with the .460" medium-large bore valve block to deliver a free-blowing yet controlled response, the kind of natural, effortless airflow that is the Paseo's defining characteristic. The combination supports smooth phrasing and precise articulation across orchestral, jazz, commercial, and solo settings.
