What Is BuyBoard?
BuyBoard is a member-focused, member-governed purchasing cooperative that has served public organizations since 1998. It combines the purchasing power of participating schools, colleges, municipalities, counties, and other eligible entities so members can access competitively awarded contracts for the products and services they need.
Before a vendor is awarded a contract, BuyBoard conducts a competitive procurement and evaluation process. Purchasing from an awarded vendor can help eligible members satisfy applicable competitive-purchasing requirements, reduce the time and administrative work involved in issuing a separate solicitation, and maintain a documented purchasing record. Your purchasing office should always confirm its own policies and approval requirements.

Two Ways to Request a BuyBoard Quote
Option 1: Request a quote directly from BAC
Use the “Request a BuyBoard Quote” button, email orders@bacmusic.com, or call (816) 945-9133. BAC will help define the right products and quantities and provide a customized quote referencing BuyBoard Contract 812-26. This is often the easiest route when you need product guidance or are building a complete package.
Option 2: Submit an RFQ through BuyBoard
Log in to BuyBoard and open Purchase > Requests for Quotes. Create the RFQ, select B.A.C. Musical Instruments, LLC as a recipient, and include the products or specifications, quantities, delivery location and timing, response deadline, and any project requirements. BuyBoard sends the RFQ to the selected vendors. When the RFQ closes and vendors have responded, the system tabulates the results for your review. For a volume purchase, this can be an efficient way to request project-specific pricing from selected awarded vendors.
Whichever route you choose, review BAC's quote or RFQ response, complete your organization's internal approvals, issue the PO with the required BuyBoard contract notation, and submit or record the PO with BuyBoard.

How to Purchase Through BuyBoard
1. Confirm your organization can use BuyBoard
Check with your purchasing office or log in to your BuyBoard member account. If your organization is not enrolled, eligible entities can learn about free membership at buyboard.com/join.
2. Choose how to request pricing
Request a quote directly from BAC, or create an RFQ in BuyBoard and select B.A.C. Musical Instruments, LLC. Exact model numbers are helpful but not required; product descriptions, quantities, specifications, and delivery needs are enough to get started.
3. Review BAC's quote or RFQ response
BAC will confirm the products, quantities, contract pricing, availability, freight, and estimated delivery timing. A direct quote or RFQ response will reference BuyBoard Contract 812-26.
4. Complete your normal internal approval process
Your purchasing team reviews the quote and obtains any local approvals required by your organization.
5. Issue the purchase order
Make the PO payable to B.A.C. Musical Instruments, LLC, include the BAC quote number, and add the notation “Per BuyBoard Contract 812-26.”
6. Submit or record the PO with BuyBoard
An authorized buyer may submit the PO through BuyBoard. BuyBoard also instructs members that POs can be emailed to info@buyboard.com for entry. Recording the PO officially ties the purchase to the cooperative and supports the member's audit trail.

Who can purchase through BuyBoard?
BuyBoard serves eligible public-sector and governmental organizations, including school districts, colleges and universities, municipalities, counties, and other local government entities. Participating nonprofit organizations may use BuyBoard through the applicable subscriber arrangement. Is BuyBoard membership required?
Yes. Your organization must be eligible to use BuyBoard and have the appropriate participation or subscriber agreement in place. Membership is free for eligible entities, and your purchasing office may already have an active account.
Does using BuyBoard mean we do not have to follow our own procedures?
No. BuyBoard provides a competitively awarded cooperative contract and purchasing documentation, but your organization must still follow its own approval, budget, funding, and purchasing policies.
Do we have to purchase everything through BuyBoard?
No. Joining BuyBoard does not require an organization to use it for every purchase. Members choose when to use a BuyBoard contract, item by item and project by project.
Do I have to locate every product in the BuyBoard marketplace before contacting BAC?
